PURPOSE

• To invesitgate the use of flow control in a practical real-world situation.

• Internet Connection

PROCEDURE

• Using the library or internet find a specific location where a weir, flume, or other flow control device is being used for control of flow.

• Using the library or internet find a specific location where a weir, flume, or other flow measurement device is being used for measurement of flow.
• Your report should include (for both control and measurement);
  • A Picture of the device.
  • A description of the device including agency or person which is using the device and why.
  • A description of how this device functions to measure or control flow.
  • An analysis of the applicability of this device in the application it is being used.
• Limit this lab to 3 pages (including the picture of the device, but not including the cover page).
